Red Hour Films to Produce Two Web Series for Paramount

Thanks to the Twitterverse, I just caught this feed in the middle of wrapping up the work day: Paramount Digital Entertainment announced today that Ben Stiller's Red Hour Films has signed on to do two digital shorts for the four year old venture. One web series will be an animated version of the 2001 movie Zoolander, where Stiller will reprise the character of the fashion model, and the other will be Billy Glimmer: Entertainer of the Century, starring himself and Human Giant's Rob Huebel.

Nobody provides this source better than Dave Itzoff, who interviewed Stiller on this new venture over at NYTimes.com.

Night of 140 Tweets on DVD and Streaming

On Friday, March 12th 2010, some of the funniest and weirdest stomped upon stage at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles to raise money to help rebuild Haiti. They read tweets, one got naked and all flapped their wings with Yo Gabba Gabba. A 30 minute video has been available on iTunes for $2.99. A longer version of the event will be released soon (Edit: March 30th) for DVD purchase and streaming at Amazon.com.

Please visit these sites and donate to this incredible cause. You'll see Ben Stiller, Rob Huebel, Paul Scheer, Jenny McCarthy, Steve Agee, Michael Ian Black, porn stars, Brian Posehn, Sarah Silverman, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and a naked Mad Men plus so, so, so much more. Look real close, and you can see my head and hands in the front row! Come on, people! What else do you want?

Seriously. Please check it out. Also visit Stillerstrong.org and Artists for Peace and Justice. They organized this amazing event.

New Pilot for Fox: The Station

Pretty cool news, this...

Ben Stiller will be Executive Producing a comedy pilot for Fox Television about about CIA operatives in South America called The Station. David Wain (Wainy Days Stella) will direct. As for the cast, John Goodman (Roseanne, The Big Lebowski) has just signed on to star. Joining him will be comedian Whitney Cummings (who I saw at the Hollywood Improv last month opening for my funny friend Bryan Callen and she killed), Justin Bartha, the missing groom, found sunburned on the roof of Caesar's in The Hangover, Julio Oscar Mechoso, and the awesome Rob Huebel (Human Giant) who should be appearing on Michael and Michael Have Issues in upcoming weeks and currently appearing in the video below.
