One hot day in 1988, Jack Rebney set out to make a corporate video for Winnebago. It turned out to be a really crappy day for a really cantankerous man with a smooth voice that spewed a variety of hilarious raunchy language, ruining take after take. Twenty or so years later, YouTube was invented and the outtakes of that event became a viral video. Rebney remained an enigma for years until film maker Ben Steinhauer discovered and convinced him to be part of a documentary about this video phenomenon. Thus came Winnebago Man released on Friday, July 9th. It looks fascinating and funny. Jack is an old crab apple, but he's a lovable one. Gotta see this one.
